Spring 2010 Newsletter

Dear Readers,

Sorry, I'm a little late posting this. I will also post the update in a few minutes, Summer 2010 Newsletter.

I'm still in college, one more class to go to complete Medical Office and many for a Web Technologies degree. However, two more classes to get a Web Design certificate. I'm leaning toward the Web Design certicate, and then just take a few classes here and there until I can complete the Web Technologies Assosicate's Degree Program.

On the work front, I'm no longer day-job hunting. As luck has it, I was able to obtain a position as MIS (Management Information Systems) Specialist position with WDB (Workforce Development office) where I was the Assistant Coordinator during the 2009 Summer Youth Employment. The person in the MIS position before me retired January 1, 2010 and I officially started the position at that time, but I began training for it in September 2009. I am loving this position and look forward to learning all I can.

On the writing/reading front, again nothing to report except a few essays, articles and reports written for school. A collaboration project I had in mind has stalled as many of our home lives have gotten much too busy. I have been reading a lot. I read the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyers in about a month and loved them. I've read a couple of Sandra Brown mysteries and a book titled The Cure by Sonia Levitin. I just finished reading two books of The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins. The third, Mockingjay is coming out in August 2010 and I can't wait. I've started reading the House of Night series and I'm on the second book, Betrayed by P.C. and Katrina Cast right now. All of these books are excellent and hard to put down.

Well that's it. Hope everyone is living their dream and doing what it takes to excel.

Sincerely,
Kim Cox
